Citadel Completions Selects Two Mechanical Engineers from Local Universities for its Summer 2020 Engineering Internship Program.

August 19, 2020

The summer of 2020 will be remembered for challenges of all shapes and sizes,  but despite this two bright local University students chose to use their college break time to their learning advantage. Nick Alphonso of Leesville, majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University and Easton McGinn of Lafayette, majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana State University embraced the challenge of participating in Citadel Completions’  Engineering Internship Program. Nick and Easton gained valuable technical experience during the 8 week period, and ultimately created a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Router for Citadel’s Cabinet Shop. They gained first-hand experience collaborating across multiple departments and worked alongside experienced cabinet makers.

“The Engineering Internship is a vital Program that allows Citadel Completions to reach out to the community to teach and learn from the younger generation. We are always seeking ways to support our local community and this program highlights Citadel’s vision and mission, but also, all of the wonderful things the City of Lake Charles, and the State of Louisiana offer to employees and their families.” – Joe Smith, Chief Engineer.
