Citadel Earns European Repair Certification

Lake Charles, LA – This week, Citadel Completions received its European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval.  Citadel’s previous and on-going aircraft modification and maintenance work on Boeing and Airbus aircraft has been carried out under US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority Part 145 repair station certificates.  The new EASA certificate now authorizes Citadel to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul services on aircraft registered in any of EASA’s 32 member countries, which includes all members of the European Union and European Free Trade Association.  Earning these certifications required Citadel to satisfy each regulatory agencies’ requirements with fully developed Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, acceptable facilities and equipment, and a fully qualified work force.  Citadel Completions is continuing to grow, with additional national… Read More

Celebrating 1st Anniversary, Citadel Continues to Grow

Lake Charles, LA – Earlier this week, Citadel Completions welcomed a VVIP-configured Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) into their facilities at Chennault International Airport.  Over the next few weeks, Citadel will be performing a refurbishment of the airplane’s customized, luxury interior, including replacing carpet, updating seating and upholstery, restoring wood surfaces, and other modifications.    Citadel will also perform heavy maintenance and inspections on the aircraft.  The arrival of the jet closely coincided with the anniversary of Citadel moving into their Chennault properties.  On March 1st, 2018, Managing Director Joe Bonita was the sole Citadel representative on site.  Now, just over a year later, Citadel has over 100 employees working in Lake Charles, with additional recruiting efforts on-going.  Citadel also continues to renovate some of its industrial workspaces, with more manufacturing capabilities… Read More

Citadel Completions Re-Delivers First Project

Lake Charles, LA – On January 11, 2019, Citadel Completions re-delivered its first project at its Chennault International Airport facility. The privately-owned Boeing 747 arrived in October 2018, and Citadel completed the project in early January. Preflight checks were performed on the ground before the aircraft took off and, after a successful in-flight systems check, it returned home. Citadel Completions Receives FAA Part 145 Certificate

Citadel Completions reached another important milestone today, officially receiving it’s Part 145 Repair Station Certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.  Citadel is already performing maintenance on aircraft registered in Bermuda under its Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority certificate received earlier in the year.  Now with the FAA certificate, Citadel can begin accepting maintenance and modification projects for U.S.-registered aircraft.  The certificate initially includes Boeing 737 authorizations, but will soon include a wide range of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.  The company is grateful for the priority and attention provided by FAA representatives in the Baton Rouge office leading up to the final certification.   Photo caption: Rich Atwood, Director of Quality Assurance, and Lance Foster, Senior Director of Quality from Citadel Completions proudly receive the company’s FAA Part 145 repair station… Read More

Citadel Completions Visits Hallmark University

Citadel Completions recently extended their recruiting efforts to Hallmark University in San Antonio, TX. Hallmark University is an established university within the aviation community that has received a multitude of awards for not only their education programs but their ability to follow through and support their aviation graduates to acquire their airframe and powerplant license with the Federal Aviation Administration. They continue to implement changes to their programs to strengthen its position and vision of providing Aviation ready students into the workforce. Air Force Job Fair Features Citadel Completions

Bossier City, LA – Citadel Completions recently participated in a Job and Education Fair at Barksdale Air Force Base, near Shreveport, Louisiana, the first of what will be many recruiting and community engagements in the region for the company. Citadel Completions is a relatively new venture primarily focused on completing VIP interior modifications on large Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Gov. Edwards and Citadel Completions Announce Louisiana Aerospace Project

May 17, 2018

Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards and Citadel Completions LLC announced the company will make a $17.6 million capital investment and hire more than 250 people for an aircraft center dedicated to interior jet modifications and maintenance at Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles. For the project, Citadel Completions will create 256 new direct jobs with an average annual salary of $80,000, plus benefits. In addition, Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in 347 new indirect jobs, for a total of more than 600 new jobs in Southwest Louisiana.
